C. S. Lewis Books in Order
C.S. Lewis (1898-1963) was a British writer, literary scholar, and Christian apologist best known for "The Chronicles of Narnia" series, particularly "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
Born in Belfast, Ireland, Lewis served in World War I before becoming a fellow and tutor at Oxford University, where he taught English literature for nearly three decades and later held a chair at Cambridge. Initially an atheist, he converted to Christianity in his thirties, which profoundly influenced his writing. Beyond his beloved children's fantasy works, Lewis authored numerous books on Christian theology and apologetics, including "Mere Christianity" and "The Screwtape Letters," as well as science fiction novels like "The Space Trilogy."
A member of the literary discussion group The Inklings alongside J.R.R. Tolkien, Lewis combined his scholarly expertise in medieval and Renaissance literature with accessible prose that continues to captivate readers across genres and generations.
