Julia Quinn Books in Order

Julia Quinn is the pen name of Julie Pottinger (née Cotler), a #1 New York Times bestselling American author of historical romance novels. Born on January 12, 1970, in New York, she was raised in New England and graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Art History. Quinn began writing romance novels while still a student and sold her first two books at auction just weeks after being accepted to medical school. She left medical school after two months to pursue writing full-time. Her pen name was strategically chosen so her books would appear on shelves alongside popular romance author Amanda Quick. She is best known for the Bridgerton series, eight novels set in Regency-era England, each featuring one of the alphabetically-named Bridgerton siblings: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Published between 2000 and 2006, the series became a global phenomenon after Netflix adapted it into one of the streaming platform's most-watched series of all time, produced by Shonda Rhimes. Quinn has written over 20 historical romance novels, and her work has been translated into 41 languages. She has appeared on the New York Times bestseller list nineteen times and was inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. She won the prestigious RITA Award twice: in 2007 for "On the Way to the Wedding" and in 2008 for "The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever." Quinn lives in Seattle, Washington, with her husband Paul Pottinger and their two children. In 2021, she tragically lost her sister Ariana and her father Stephen in a car accident caused by a drunk driver.
