Michael Brandman

Michael Brandman is an American film and television producer and writer based in Los Angeles. He has produced more than 40 films, including screen work by Arthur Miller, Stephen Sondheim, Neil Simon, David Mamet, Horton Foote and Athol Fugard. With Emanuel Azenberg he co-produced Tom Stoppard's film Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Over a long partnership with Tom Selleck, he produced and co-wrote the Jesse Stone television films along with several Westerns. That close knowledge of the character led to his three Jesse Stone novels, the first continuations after Parker's death: Killing the Blues (2011), Fool Me Twice (2012) and Damned If You Do (2013). All three were New York Times bestsellers. Brandman lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Joanna Miles.
