The Kane Chronicles is an Egyptian mythology fantasy trilogy following siblings Carter and Sadie Kane, who discover they are descended from the pharaohs and are the most powerful Egyptian magicians to be born in centuries. When their father accidentally releases the god Set, the siblings must learn to harness their magical abilities to stop the god of chaos from destroying the world. The series is set in the same universe as Percy Jackson but focuses on Egyptian gods and magic.
The Red Pyramid
Carter and Sadie Kane have been living apart since their mother's death—Carter traveling the world with their Egyptologist father, Sadie staying with grandparents in London. When their father takes them to the British Museum on Christmas Eve, he accidentally releases five Egyptian gods, including Set, the god of chaos. Now the siblings must learn to use their newfound magical powers to stop Set before he destroys North America.
